There is also a very good Food Lion on your way back to the Falls, located in White Sulphur Springs, WV.
Yes, we own the entire 65-acre preserve privately, including the waterfall, Creek, & beaver preserve.

No, we are not an RV campground. We are a nature preserve offering our own exclusive glampsites. Occasionally we may accommodate a small RV van at a site, but you must book a site to have access, & clear the vehicle with us first. Sweet Springs is the best site for campers with small RVs, as it's in the field, having a separate 2x4 entrance.
No, black bears are common in this area of the National Forest, & they are not usually aggressive, but run and hide from you. Since we use mint-scented trash bags (provided at your site), & urge guests to always store there food in their vehicles at night, we've never EVER had an issues with bears at any of our sites. In fact, they are a welcome site, if you are lucky enough to see one!

We have a leash rule around the property, but generally we leave it to the guests to sort out amongst themselves. If However, if you have a problematic or aggressive, or unfriendly dog, that is YOUR PROBLEM, not ours or the guests who have "good" dogs. See our section "Online Bookings." Sweet Springs is the only site that requires 4x4 capable vehicles, though we do have a 2x4 entrance for emergencies (we prefer not to use this entrance because it is not graveled, & is harmful to our grass.). We can also take you to your campsite via golf cart--available by request only.
